Ingredients
4 ripe mangoes, peeled and cubed
1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
1 tablespoon light corn syrup (optional, for smoother texture)
Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Directions
Prepare the Simple Syrup
In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and water.
Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar is fully dissolved.
Remove from heat and let it cool completely.
2. Blend the Mangoes
In a blender or food processor, add the cubed mangoes, cooled simple syrup, lime juice, and corn syrup (if using).
Blend until smooth and creamy.
3. Strain the mixture
For an extra smooth sorbet, strain the mango mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any fibrous bits.
4. Chill the mixture
Pour the blended mango mixture into a container.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until thoroughly chilled.
5. Churn the Sorbet
Pour the chilled mango mixture into an ice cream maker.
Churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until the sorbet reaches a soft-serve consistency.
6. Freeze the Sorbet:
Transfer the churned sorbet into a freezer-safe container.
Cover and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
How to Serve the Sorbet
Scoop the mango sorbet into bowls or cones.
Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired and enjoy your mango sorbet!
