Mango Sorbet Made Easy, A Sweet Treat for Summer Days

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe mangoes, peeled and cubed

  • 1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice

  • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup (optional, for smoother texture)

  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Directions

  1. Prepare the Simple Syrup

  • In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and water.

  • Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar is fully dissolved.

  • Remove from heat and let it cool completely.

2. Blend the Mangoes

  • In a blender or food processor, add the cubed mangoes, cooled simple syrup, lime juice, and corn syrup (if using).

  • Blend until smooth and creamy.

3. Strain the mixture

  • For an extra smooth sorbet, strain the mango mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any fibrous bits.

4. Chill the mixture

  • Pour the blended mango mixture into a container.

  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until thoroughly chilled.

5. Churn the Sorbet

  • Pour the chilled mango mixture into an ice cream maker.

  • Churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until the sorbet reaches a soft-serve consistency.

6. Freeze the Sorbet:

  • Transfer the churned sorbet into a freezer-safe container.

  • Cover and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.

How to Serve the Sorbet

  • Scoop the mango sorbet into bowls or cones.

  • Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired and enjoy your mango sorbet!
